Despite a changing of the guard, the new owners, John Thompson, Harry Johnson, and Garrett DeLuca, ensured that the antique ambiance would remain. The creative collaboration of John Thompson, owner of Callaghan’s Irish Social Club in Mobile, and local restauranteur Harry Johnson when asked about the reopening of Manci’s Antique Club, stated “it will be the best of both worlds as they are going to keep the Manci’s name and atmosphere and add the Callaghan’s menu and music.”[5]

When guests walk in the front door of the restaurant, they are immediately greeted with with a walled entrance featuring one of the largest collections of Jim Beam decanters, an impressive collection of hotel keys, photographs of jubilee’s, and a plexiglass enclosure of collectibles. Manci’s Antique Club is truly a living museum juxtaposed in a restaurant setting. Moreover, Manci’s Antique Club achieved Food Network fame when it was featured on an episode titled “Better Than Ever on Season 4, Episode 8 of Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2008,”[6] and have his signed photo hanging in the dining room.
